A phenomenal fishing experience is assured with Dave’s Fisheng Guide Service! Our trip was well organized from beginning to end. Safety was paramount. The boat was immaculate and well equipped with professional gear and comfortable seating. We never had to touch the bait and being a lady, I was so happy there was a tiny portable potty on board! 

Dave is a professional guide who knows the Columbia waters like the back of his hand. He WILL do his best to ensure you’re in a prime position for catching fish.

Although it was a slow day for catching fish the day we were in OR (for everyone), and I wasn’t lucky enough to catch a fish, I have to say it wasn’t for Dave’s lack of trying. Dave was on his cell phone with other guides scoping out where the fish where biting and he would have us pull up our lines to take us to other locations, constantly. He did everything but jump in the water and put a fish on my hook to ensure I caught my bucket list dream fish.  But I did have a few awesome bites and the young man in our boat did bring in a nice size Chinook (15lbs) which is the video I uploaded. It was awesome to be a part of all that excitement.

We also had the pleasure of meeting Wendy and having her on board to assist Dave. Wendy was great at untangling our lines and for me, it was nice just to have another female to talk with.

Both Dave and Wendy were very entertaining. They kept us laughing, told us stories and told us some history of the Astoria area.  They certainly went way beyond the scope of your typical guide service. 

Despite only one fish being caught on our boat the entire trip, we had a magnificent time! I highly recommend Dave Eng.  You will not be disappointed.

Sometimes it’s not about what you catch, its also about the experience, the people you meet, and the memories you hold in your heart. I am home in Virginia….happy and content. Thanks for the wonderful memories, Dave & Wendy! We will be back!  >  >

It was an awesome trip and we had a great time.  Dave is very knowledgeable!

I had an exchange student from Germany with me who had never gone fishing before.  Dave made sure that he had the best experience possible.  Although the fishing was slow, we still we able to come home with a couple nice salmon and memories of some sturgeon that kept things fun.  All in all a great way to spend the day.
