Thank you for the review. After over 30 years of business I guess your bound to have 1 bad one. Lets reflect on the afternoon we had together. First off waves were 1’-3’ all day which is actually a nice day on Lake Michigan. The entire charter fleet was out as well as lots of pleasure fishing boat. If we were to reschedule for a nicer day, I don’t think you would ever get out. After having conversations with all of your party on the dock and ride out only 1 had been on a fishing boat before and stated he had gotten very sea sick. Another stated she gets very bad motion sickness since having a baby. Before we even had lines set 2 were very sick “that stated they get motion sickness” with one vomiting on me, the helm, inside our air-conditioning intake vent and all over the floor. We polity cleaned it all up and got them paper towels and tried to help them as much as possible. This triggered a 3rd to get sick. There is nothing we can do to make a boat stable besides trolling direction and we gave you the best ride, but honestly 1’-3’ waves is a nice day. After giving advice to the sick couple people “as well as others in the group were doing as well” on were to sit to try and get fresh air they chose to keep sitting on the floor/step area. After a short time of me and deckhand Jordan realizing being on a fishing boat on Lake Michigan was not a situation a few in your group could handle, we suggested going in. You guys then chose to stay a bit longer. I brought it up once again that we should bring them in and the group voted on it since half the group wanted to stay out and was having a nice time and even dirking multiple beers and eating sandwiches. Then while fighting a fish and passing the rod back and forth a very expensive rod was broken by a guest. We then returned to the dock and I only you charged you for the time out not the full rate. I basically took you out for free with no pay to myself plus had to replace the broken rod. We thank you for the tip it was very much apricated, but did not ask for it. We did the best we could with situation the group presented us with while at the same time maintaining the boat and running all the lines trying to catch fish for the group. We apologized many times and as stated lost our pay that afternoon.
I take this review as not fair or on us since we did the best we could with the situation we were placed in as well as reading your review history, it seems to be a pattern.
