- Background
- I’ve been a fisherman since the day I was born, growing up right in front of the beach and learning the ocean like a second language. After completing my bachelor’s and master’s degrees, I dedicated myself to commercial fishing, a career I’ve pursued for the past seven years. In 2024, I earned my USCG license and launched my own fishing charter business. Today, I operate in the same waters I’ve fished all my life, sharing with guests the true potential of the west side of Puerto Rico one of the island’s richest and most exciting fishing grounds.
- Techniques
- My favorite technique is trolling for hard-hitting wahoos, keeping the adrenaline high with every pass along deep blue water. I also love cutting bait and exploring deep-water reefs, targeting the big predators on those hidden structures. When winter ends, our coastline becomes a true playground—birds working everywhere and mahi mahi pushing in close. Chasing those colorful dolphinfish in bird-filled waters is one of the most exciting parts of our season. Living my whole life on these waters has also made sunset tarpon and bonefish missions one of my signature calls. I’ve been chasing these fish since I was a kid, and those evening trips
