After a shot ride out to Esprito Santo, Jose put us onto some Durado. I had one on the line shortly after.  Then landed a MASSIVE yellow Dueado. It took 20 minutes to real in. Jumping spinning, just spectacular.

Then two move Durados and two 14 foot sharks began circling the boat.

One of the sharks took a line and I played with a 14ft shark for about 15 minutes then the line snaped.

Then it was on to the Marlin.  Jose had us in the right spot bc we could see them breaching.

20.minutes later I hooked into one and it was ON!!

It took well over and hour to land the Marlin.  Massive Marlin.  I was exhausted. Both arms soooo tired.  Marlin made 5 significant runs,, one right at the boat.  Jumping, spinning… it was incredible.

This was mine and my husband’s second time fishing in La Paz and it was by far the best experience we could’ve asked for. Captain José was extremely knowledgeable and as advertised, determined for us to catch as many fish as possible. After we got our bait fish and dropped our first line, we had fish hooked within seconds. We caught four fish in the first 30 minutes with the first being a yellowtail. It was very apparent José knew what he was doing, moving spots frequently and quickly once we caught or weren’t getting bites. Our luck slowed down after the first two hours, so José took us out near the island in shallow rocks where the snappers were plentiful. Here we caught two snappers and to much surprise, one rooster fish. Overall, we caught one yellowtail, one trigger fish, three cabrilla, two different snappers, and one rooster fish. Never had we imagined we’d catch so many, let alone such a variety. The panga boat was nice and perfect for the two of us. He had a cooler full of drinks and cut and cleaned all our fish right on the boat at the dock when we returned. We will never question using another charter when fishing in La Paz and highly recommend Captain José and La Shina. The booking and communication through the app was also very easy and prompt. Thank you for such an amazing fishing experience!
