Sorry your trip didn’t go as planned y’all only used two rods there was over 10 on the boat is because the current was super fast that day and when we use multiple rods they end up in the prop or tangled Up, when you drop down to the bottom it took about two seconds to hook a fish so we wanted to utilize the time but not having y’all get tangled. We use the rods for multiple things we target up to 10 different species some days there’s no way for us to bring sixty rods on the boat. Each species that we fish for we use different size hooks different size leader, different size weights. Our Snapper Rigs have multiple hooks so we cut them off at the end of the day and put fresh ones on when we get out there so that no one gets a hook in their hands or anywhere else. It takes less than a minute to rig up a rod. We pull up to the spot first see which way the current is going so that we can re-position while we’re pull back up it’s all for a reason I promise. We do have a D hooker for sharks they are overpopulated right now and destroying the gulf of Mexico so we do kill some sharks some days. if you’d like for us to let them go without hurting them please let your Captain know. The boat has not had ANY PROBLEMS whatsoever this summer since we got it the Perko went out on the boat in 22 years being on 100 different boats probably, I have never seen a Perko go out it was a freak deal the captain made it work and got through the day fishing. On half-day trips we can only run so far and only do so much our main target is Snapper y’all had a limit of really nice red Snapper I know that you tried for mangroves and a few other things sorry we can’t control the conditions. I have tried calling and no one would respond so far. I did two 24 hour trips in a row was offshore for over 48 hours and tried calling as soon as I got in. I would be happy to work something out with you just like the captain told you. Hope this helps clears up a few things.
