Blue Water Connections - Billistic II
We recently went on an eight hour fishing charter with Blue Water Connections, and it was an absolute blast!  Our group had a wide range of fishing experience, those who have done a lot of fishing and several who were novices.  We were all blown away by the experience.

First off, booking was a breeze through their website – quick confirmation and clear details on what to bring (sunscreen, snacks, and a sense of adventure). We met at the marina at dawn, the crew was there and super welcoming. The boat was a clean, spacious 57 footer with all the modern gear: high-quality rods, live bait wells, a cabin area for when the sun got intense, and it even had a clean modern head.

We headed out for a 60 mile adventure (there and back).  We were around 20 miles offshore targeting all game fish in season and the action started almost immediately. Captain Jimmy’s knowledge of the local waters is spot-on; he put us right on the fish using his sonar and years of experience.  We hooked so many fish - almost 120#!  Brandon was fantastic at helping with baiting and pulling in the fish, and even helping us get our keepers filleted at the local fish cleaner. They kept things safe and fun.

The group was small (just eight of us), which meant no overcrowding and plenty of personal attention. Weather was perfect, but they assured us they monitor forecasts closely and reschedule if needed. Priced at around $160 per person, it felt like great value for the eight hours of non-stop excitement, including all tackle and licenses.

If you’re coming to Panama City Beach and looking for a charter fishing service we highly recommend Blue Water Connections.  Whether you’re a newbie or a seasoned angler, they’ll make it memorable. Five stars – We’ll be back next season!

We had a great time dishing with captain Jimmy and Roger was great helping on the deck with all the bait and fishing poles.

The boat was plenty big with lots of room inside as we were driving with good a/c.

The kids all caught a ton of fish and had a great time doing so.

Once we got back they helped take the fish right over to the fish cleaning service where we had most dry packed. 

Captain Jimmy gave us a recommendation where we could have the fish grilled up at a restaurant nearby.  We went to J Maxwell’s a few blocks away and it was delicious.

Boat was clean and my wife and I and the kids all had a great time and hailed in some good sized fish.

We had three 11 year old boys and their Dads for a birthday celebration trip. They went out for 6 hours on Ballistic II and caught over 70 fish! They were able to bring in a giant amberjack (released due to season, but it was beautiful!), vermillion snapper and a black snapper so big it won a contest! The captain, deck hand, boat and equipment was top notch. BWC communicated with me the couple days before and accommodated a date change due to rough seas. Our boys will never forget this trip. Could not recommend this charter more! Book it!!

My family loves fishing and doesn’t speak English but Jimmy and Zander were soooo sweet and welcoming that my dad and uncles kept mentioned how nice the crew was. That was so important to me that they were treated with kindness. I translated all the instructions (which were clear and simple) and everyone had a wonderful time.

The boat has beds and air conditioning we kept saying we shoulda brought everyone for real! Kids and the grandparents!

Not only that, we caught so many fish it was unreel (teehee). Would 100% book with them again!!

We originally booked The Billistic II but the boat was down so they put us on the Reelstic.  Communication was great and out of the 20+ charters we’ve done, these guys were far and away the best.  Capt. Jimmy and Brannan are incredibly personable and A+ fisherman.  We did the 8 hr trip which took us about 25 miles out and we were catching fish within literal seconds of getting to the first spot and that continued for 4 more hours until we headed in at which point we were all sore from reeling in so many fish. When we stopped at a spot, if we weren’t bringing multiple good fish in within 5-10 minutes they had another spot to hit and they all produced. Between the 5 of us that fished we put over 60 in the cooler, threw back a bunch of red snapper (out of season) and smaller trigger fish, lost some grouper, and finished off the trip with a 5-6 ft shark. 

The boat was great,  we had 8 people and there was no shortage of room.  Seas were pretty choppy (3-4 ft) the first half but it handled it well and no one got sick. 

These guys will give you your best shot at a memorable fishing trip.  In the off chance it’s a little slow, it just means the fish aren’t biting because they work incredibly hard and know how and where to catch em.
