Depending on the time of year, you might hook into King Mackerel (Kingfish), Yellowfin Tuna, Vermilion Snapper, Wahoo, Blue Marlin, Red Snapper, Red Grouper, White Marlin, Snowy Grouper, Salmon, Gag Grouper, Lane Snapper, and whatever else takes the bait. Depending on the species you're after, you may find yourself fishing with heavy tackle, trolling, drifting, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Justin can also have you kite fishing.
Blue Water Connection is a child-friendly charter service, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Don't forget to bring snacks for a boost of energy when needed!
You'll be casting lines from the Billistic, a 48' Viking sportfishing vessel with room for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, along with lures.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.

We had a 6 hour trip scheduled but the weather was not good. The boat did well and got us out to various fishing spots. We were able to avoid most of the rain and lightening but the seas were choppy. The captain got us on the various spots and we caught some snapper and grouper but the swells made it difficult to keep a good stance. Through this all our deck hand (Mike) moved one fisherman to the other aiding us in baiting, getting the fish off and back in the water quickly. We had two novice fishermen on board (grandson and granddaughter) and they both did well thanks to Mike's instructions. Would definitely repeat and hopefully get a little better weather and sea conditions.
Rodger and captain Chuck did nothing but help us catch fish. We got plenty of snapper and grouper for all 6 of us. Rodger was very knowledgeable on everything he was doing. Rule #1 any charter you take, listen to the crew. He truly knew what to do. And captain Chuck found all the schools, anytime we stopped getting bites they told us to reel in and they immediately went back to a new spot. 10/10 experience, great boat, great crew, great time.
With have high seas the crew worked had to put us on fish and they made it happen! We was about to bring home a good mess of them. I really appreciate the crew watching out for all passengers even none fishermen. This is a great trip for anyone that loves to be out on the ocean and laughing fish.
We had a great time dishing with captain Jimmy and Roger was great helping on the deck with all the bait and fishing poles. The boat was plenty big with lots of room inside as we were driving with good a/c. The kids all caught a ton of fish and had a great time doing so. I would definitely recommend using these guys. We will be back, Once we got back they helped take the fish right over to the fish cleaning service where we had most dry packed. Captain Jimmy gave us a recommendation where we could have the fish grilled up at a restaurant nearby. We went to J Maxwell’s a few blocks away and it was delicious. Boat was clean and my wife and I and the kids all had a great time and hailed in some good sized fish.
We had three 11 year old boys and their Dads for a birthday celebration trip. They went out for 6 hours on Ballistic II and caught over 70 fish! They were able to bring in a giant amberjack (released due to season, but it was beautiful!), vermillion snapper and a black snapper so big it won a contest! The captain, deck hand, boat and equipment was top notch. BWC communicated with me the couple days before and accommodated a date change due to rough seas. Our boys will never forget this trip. Could not recommend this charter more! Book it!!
