Having been fishing with his father since the age of 5, becoming a professional angler was always Captain Norman's dream. He's fished all over Louisiana, targeting all of the incredible species that inhabit these inshore waters. His biggest catch was a 9 lb 13 oz Trout at Calcasieu Lake. However, he's more proud of having taught his grandchildren to fish – most recently, his 7-year old grandson caught an 8 lb Speckled Trout all on his own.

    Great with Kids

    Full day 7 hours 3 persons • 4 adults • 2 children

    Our research prior to booking showed Norm was great with kids. Today’s trip more than proved that as our 9 & 7 year old were entertained the entire trip. Fishing was tough, but Norm kept us on the fish and got us plenty to take back to our family. Highly recommend booking with Norm.

    Great trip

    4 hour morning trip max. 4 persons • 4 adults

    We had hoped to target speckled trout but instead caught many large reds. Gary was a great guide and took good care of everyone on the boat and made sure we were on fish the entire trip. I was surprised that live bait was an additional charge but not a big deal.

    Half day trip 4 hours • 3 adults • 1 child

    Rain left us a window, BP was a little high that slowed down bites Captain Norman continued to try and find fish, after a few hours of slow bites he hit a nice spot that made the trip end with nice specs & sheepshead He made sure to give my grandson all the pointers to help him lead in fish count total since this was his first saltwater trip Highly recommended Thanks Norman

    Fantastic Fishing Trip

    Captain Norm was an excellent guide and host. He was great with my 9 and 10 year old grandkids. We caught lots of fish and had lots of fun. Thank you Captain for the good time.

Fishing for Reds in the lake can be very productive in September, as well as Trout fishing. Gulf fishing can also be amazing – fish are coming closer to shore.
