Captain Marc and his first mate were great. they were very accommodating and even reached out to us ahead of time to see if we wanted to alter our time based on weather and fishing conditions. we had some bad luck on the water and weren’t able to catch any rainbow bass, but they did their best for us. I would definitely give this tour another chance the next time I come to Arenal.

Me and my dad caught a handful of jaguars and machaca each on our trip! I managed to catch a couple female rainbows as well. The views of the volcano and mountains while fishing were spectacular. The crew was knowledgeable and accommodating. Highly recommend captain Marc for your fishing needs on lake Arenal!

We booked the Volcano/Sunset Tour with captain Marc which includes a 3 hour boatride on the lake with an amazing view of the volcano and some fishing. Captain Marc was easy to communicate and coordinate with before the trip, and the location was easy to find outside of La Fortuna. Despite the previous weather conditions that had the water disturbed Captain Marc was still able to put us on some fish. Between the three members of my family we caught twelve fish and had a great time! We’d definitely recommend Captain Marc and go on another trip with him!
