We caught 3 rainbows. A little slow but not bad for January. Spring is much better. Captain and 1st mate worked hard for us and gave us a good recommendation for where to have our catch cooked for us. Only downside to the trip was the cigarette smoke from crew.

We had a great experience from the start! We got great communication from Marc, who reached out immediately to confirm our trip and ask about our preferred snacks, which were all on board when we arrived. They were ready to go when we arrived and the captain made sure my son could do some fly fishing along with jigging and trolling. We caught some beautiful rainbow bass and jaguar bass. I am an avid fisherman, I live in Florida have a boat and have fished all over the world. This was one of my favorite trips. Lake Arenal is beautiful and being out on the lake is an excellent way to see it. Marc is an excellent guide and switches fishing techniques to give you the best chance of catching fish. Rainbow bass are like largemouths on steroids and this was a new species for me. I will do this trip again.

Even though it rained the whole trip Captain Marc and Mate Irwin took excellent care of us. Checked in with us the day prior to ensure the food and beverage selections suited our tastes, gave easy directions, fished multiple ways, and caught a variety of fish. Even recommended a restaurant that cooked our catch for us (The Blue Bass fish is excellent). Great day! Thank you!

Fishing Lake Arenal with Captain Marc was like owning a private Lake. We were the only boat in sight fishing on this 33 mile long lake. No problems trolling and worrying about other fishing vessels.
