Eric and Tony worked hard all day to put us on some fish. First class charter for sure!

Nice boat but captain rents it out to others. We did not have Captain Mike. Lots of rods but you won’t be touching them.
We were a family of six. I booked stressing that we just wanted to fish and we weren’t interested in getting anything big. Just little reef fish. We told Tommy (the crew) we were rookies and when we asked questions on what to do and when he shut us down and said he’ll tell us when it happens.  We had four hits trolling over the reef. When there was a hit he just yelled “don’t pull!!” Or “Dint reel it in so fast!” Instead of telling what we SHOULD be doing. When a hooked fish was hit by a larger fish we all laughed and wanted a picture with the eaten fish. Tommy posed but then unhooked and threw the fish off. That was the whole 6 hours. Tommy telling us not to touch anything and we watched him fish. I thought four hits over the reef was a good sign. But Tommy wanted to troll for larger fish. So that’s what we did and nothing happened. So then we were so far out that Tommy wanted to drop a line 600 feet down for fish. And he caught three fish And wanted to keep going, and I finally said let’s go back to the reef. That’s the only place we were actually fishing. And he was not happy because he wanted to “produce more fish“ and I told him we didn’t need any more and we ended up not even being able to eat it all that night.  Everything was what Tommy wanted. He just wasn’t listening to what we wanted. He had awkward politically charged country music on. Because of his comments my kids felt uncomfortable asking him to change the music. Thankfully I was up top and didn’t hear what he was saying so while trolling I went down and asked for classic rock. He wasn’t very happy about that. When we went back to the reef, we had another great hit. And I am just disappointed that he wouldn’t just stay on the reef like we asked him to. And Eric up top said that he would do whatever Tommy wanted.

I think that Tommy is a very capable fisherman and crew. He just doesn’t listen to what the customer wants from the experience.

I think if you are a very serious fisherman, Tommy might be right for you. But if you’re just wanting to have fun… He is very serious, and there was very little banter or experience shared.

Just know that what you sign up for is not necessarily what you will get. Because he rents his boats out to other people to take charters on. This Captain owns a few boats.

Fantastic day fishing. We should have made it a longer trip!!!  Would highly recommend My Ohana!!!!

Overall trip exceeded expectations. Great boat equipment and results! We will be back. Thanks!!!

Had a great time with Mike and crew. Beautiful weather and caught a hand full of Mahi.
