- Background
- As a kid, my family spent summers on Lake Ontario. I spent many days fishing with my father and grandfather. About 15 years ago, I moved from Boston to be at the lake full time, hence the name of my boat and got back into what I loved since I was a kid. In 2013, I bought a much bigger boat and got my captain's license. Now I enjoy showing what the Great Lakes have to offer. Whether you're a seasoned fisherman, someone new to the sport, or a kid with his/her first King on the line, everyone gets excited when that fish hits the deck...and it never gets old for me!
- Techniques
- We like to troll near shore in the months of April and May for Browns, Steelhead, Atlantics, Coho, and Kings (Chinook). In June, we typically move offshore and target Steelhead and Lakers, unless there are some Kings around. And in July, August, and September, we are seeking Kings, sometimes a bigger class of Browns if the bite is on. In the later fall months, when the water cools down we'll fish near shore looking for Browns and Rainbows again.
