My passion for the water spans a lifetime, shaped by a 20-year military career that allowed me to fish all over the world in some of the most diverse fisheries – from the glacial waters of Alaska and the rugged coast of California to the unique river systems of Germany. Travel where you want, but there is still nothing quite like the pristine waters and incredible fishery of the Florida Panhandle. As a veteran and a dedicated shore-based angler specializing in surf fishing, I have spent years mastering the surf here to target premier species like Pompano, Redfish, and Black Drum. What drives me in this business is the opportunity to share that excitement with others. Fishing isn't just about the catch – it's about the connection, the strategy, and the memories made on the sand. Whether you are a seasoned angler looking to dial in specific surf tactics or a family eager to introduce your kids to the thrill of hooking into a hard-fighting Pompano, my goal is to provide a fun, professional, and easy experience. I take pride in bringing the same precision and dedication from my military service onto the beach, ensuring my guests are put right in the middle of the action and leave with an unforgettable day on the coast.

    Great Shore Fishing Trip

    We had an awesome experience with Beyond The Salt LLC! Brandon put us on multiple species of fish from the shore, and we even caught several sharks. The trip was well organized, professional, and a lot of fun from start to finish. As a veteran, Brandon brings a great attitude, extensive knowledge, and plenty of helpful shore fishing techniques and tips that made the experience even better.     Our youngest son requested a fishing trip for his 10th birthday and this experience didn’t disappoint. While the warm waters kept us from a quantity of fish, the quality of our time was spot on. Brandon shared his knowledge and advice for future trips. As a novice fisherman to the gulf, our son is even more passionate about becoming an avid fisherman here and in our local waters back home!

The fishing has been great lately! On our evening trip on July 1st, we headed out to see what was biting, and the water did not disappoint. We had an awesome time getting the crew on some solid action. We managed to land a beautiful slot Red Drum—always a crowd favorite—using fiddler crabs as our bait. If you’re looking to target these, they’ve been prowling the shallows and hitting the bottom well. Later in the trip, we doubled up on Sail Cats. Fighting Through the Elements: Shark Act

Had the pleasure of hosting Matt and Preston from the St. Louis area for a memorable surf fishing session. The conditions definitely kept us on our toes this trip! We battled through some unpredictable summer rain showers and navigated a heavy influx of June grass, but the team stayed focused and we were still able to find success. It was an action-packed session with some great shark hookups, making all the effort worth it. Beyond the fishing, it was an honor to share the beach with a fellow veteran; Matt is a Marine, and there is nothing quite like sharing stories with a brother-in-arms while working the surf. Even when the conditions are challenging, we’re out there putting in the work to get our clients on fish. Looking forward to the next one!
