Your guide, Brandon, served more than 20 years in the U.S. Air Force and created Beyond the Salt to help families, beginners, experienced anglers, and fellow veterans slow down, enjoy God’s creation, and make lasting memories together.
Everything will be set up before you arrive. Your trip includes four surf rods, an additional casting setup, bait, tackle, beach chairs, shade, bottled water, and light snacks. Brandon handles the preparation and heavy lifting, so your family can walk onto the beach and start fishing.
Depending on the season and conditions, you may encounter pompano, redfish, black drum, whiting, Spanish mackerel, bluefish, flounder, sharks, and other Gulf Coast species. No particular catch can be guaranteed, but Brandon will use current conditions, scouting reports, and proven surf-fishing techniques to give your group the best possible experience.
Children and first-time anglers are always welcome. Brandon provides patient, hands-on instruction covering casting, bait presentation, reading the surf, fighting fish, safe handling, and local fishing practices.
Guests should dress for the weather and bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and any additional food or drinks they would like. Anyone required by Florida law to possess a saltwater fishing license must obtain one before the trip.

We had an awesome experience with Beyond The Salt LLC! Brandon put us on multiple species of fish from the shore, and we even caught several sharks. The trip was well organized, professional, and a lot of fun from start to finish. As a veteran, Brandon brings a great attitude, extensive knowledge, and plenty of helpful shore fishing techniques and tips that made the experience even better. Our youngest son requested a fishing trip for his 10th birthday and this experience didn’t disappoint. While the warm waters kept us from a quantity of fish, the quality of our time was spot on. Brandon shared his knowledge and advice for future trips. As a novice fisherman to the gulf, our son is even more passionate about becoming an avid fisherman here and in our local waters back home!
