Trip Summary

The fishing has been great lately! On our evening trip on July 1st, we headed out to see what was biting, and the water did not disappoint. We had an awesome time getting the crew on some solid action. We managed to land a beautiful slot Red Drum—always a crowd favorite—using fiddler crabs as our bait. If you’re looking to target these, they’ve been prowling the shallows and hitting the bottom well. Later in the trip, we doubled up on Sail Cats. Had the pleasure of hosting Matt and Preston from the St. Louis area for a memorable surf fishing session. The conditions definitely kept us on our toes this trip! We battled through some unpredictable summer rain showers and navigated a heavy influx of June grass, but the team stayed focused and we were still able to find success. It was an action-packed session with some great shark hookups, making all the effort worth it. Beyond the fishing, it was an honor to share the beach with a fellow veteran; Matt is a Marine, and there is nothing quite like sharing stories with a brother-in-arms while working the surf. Even when the conditions are challenging, we’re out there putting in the work to get our clients on fish. Looking forward to the next one!
