Turned out to be a gorgeous December day to be on the water… Captain Tyler took us to spots that kept our lines constantly busy and in no time we hauled in a pile of snapper! Captain and crew were professional and personable, great instructors, patient with the newbies among us, kept our lines baited, handled our catches, and we left with a huge bag of filleted fish that we cooked that night…SO good!! Amazing experience for us and they have the knowledge and capabilities for either the novice or the skilled fisherman. I will absolutely book again with Always Tight / Captain Tyler on my next charter. Loved it!!

We went out on a 6 hour trip with Tyler and Mel on a Monday. Tyler personally called me to let me know that the conditions were rough and it would be a tough day on the water. He offered us to come down to the boat and chat to see if we still wanted to go! They were open to taking us out of the harbor to see if we could manage the waves, free of charge. We all decided we wanted to give it a go and to our surprise the further we got out the calmer it was! God blessed us with a beautiful day and memories we will never forget. We connected with Mel & Tyler so quickly. They are personable and by the end we felt like we were all family. We caught a King Mackerel 8 minutes into our trip. Along with tons of snapper, and trigger fish! We had more than enough for our fest at Brotula’s (we highly recommend taking your fresh catch there to be cooked). It was phenomenal. We 100% plan on taking a trip back just to fish with them again. If you are like me and were looking at tons and tons of charters and all the reviews, look no further and book with Captain Tyler!! You will not be disappointed ☺️☺️☺️

Awesome time with Tyler this morning.  It was the first deep sea fishing trip for our kids (2 at y/o girls and 2 12 y/o boys) and their friends although us parents have been a few times. We started off trolling on the ride out without much luck but found them on the bottom shorty after.  Lots of triggerfish, varieties of snapper and others.  He educated us on the fish and kept those hooks with fresh bait the entire time.  We stayed out a couple hours wearing them out.  Then, on the way back in Tyler put us on a mackerel and little tuna to finish the day strong.  When we got back to the dock Tyler cleaned the fish and recommended us to go down the road to Brotula’s where they took our catch and cooked up what may have been the best meal we’ve had in Destin. Left with 19 total fish, but caught at least 50 - super fun time and definitely recommend for families with kids or just a group of guys wanting to get on the fish.  Our boys will definitely do the 8 hr trip next time!

I wanted to plan something very special for my husband and sons golden birthday this year. I was so afraid to choose the wrong fishing charter and ruin the surprise. I’m SO HAPPY I chose them! We had a really good time fishing with Captain Tyler and First Mate Cameron and caught a big variety of cool looking fish. We all suck at fishing in Wisconsin (even though we love it) and we still caught a ton of fish…I would book with them again. They were both friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I asked them if I fell into the water would I get eaten by a shark and they both said “no because we’d get you out of the water first.” So they are willing to rescue you if you fall out the boat and that’s good to know if you’re scared of sharks like we are. On a side note I didn’t see either of them eat or drink anything during those six hours…and they do like snacks…so please bring them snacks…they deserve them. You won’t regret this trip.

Trip got canceled on June 7th due to conditions. Rescheduled for the 11th started out at the 1pm 6 hour trip and while catching bait, a call came in that a boat had capsized going out of inlet. After catching bait and heading out the water was very difficult. He gave us a choice whether to go out or not, but he said that it would not recommend it and finally made the decision not to take the chance and we were sort of glad he did! We trolled around and he and Cameron tried to snag us a shark that was swimming around the boat so that the trip wouldn’t be such a lost. We were really looking forward going out with these guys and will definitely go out with them next time we are here. You just can’t control mother Nature! Good luck guys, see you next time.
