Wow!! Never know what to expect when booking a charter boat. Always Tight, Captain Tyler and Cameron took all the uneasiness away. Put us on fish right away and the action didn’t subside until the lines were out of the water. We caught Spanish mackerel trolling, false albacore trolling, so many other species bottom fishing. My wife, our twin boys and I actually welcomed the break so that we could move to a new spot. We easily caught over 150 fish during our trip. Triggerfish, remora, mingo snapper, pinfish, squirrelfish, etc. just a blast. Thank you to Tyler and Cameron for sharing your knowledge, experience. Thank you for keeping it light and working with a family of rookies. We will be booking with Always Tight again and hopefully often in the future. Our lines literally were…..always tight!!!!

I had never booked a private fishing charter before, but Captain Tyler and his 1st Mate made our first time a great experience from the pre-booking communication all the way through the end of our trip.

I wasn’t sure which option to book originally as I wasn’t familiar with the styles of fishing and he recommended the bottom fishing trip based on what I had said was important to me - I told him I wanted my kids to catch a lot of fish as they’d been a few times back home but never caught anything on the lake.

We started out our day catching more than a dozen Spanish Mackerel just inside the bay on our way out to the bottom fishing locations. Once we got out to our first location, it was non-stop action for the next couple hours with us easily catching between a 120 to 140 fish (the majority of which we released). We caught a good variety of fish including Red Snapper, Chocolate Chip Porgy, Red Fish, Trigger Fish, Grouper, Rock Fish, and a Sea Bass (I’m positive I missed a few types).

Captain Tyler and his 1st Mate’s knowledge of the various types of fish and regulations about what we could keep was spot on. The boat and equipment are all very well maintained and they keep things clean as you go which is nice. After we got back in from our trip, he prepped, cleaned, and packed our fish up for us to take. They recommend a local restaurant which will prepare them for you nearby, but we ate them at a friend’s house.

We’re already looking forward to returning in the near future for an even longer day on the water after an amazing first trip. We’ll absolutely book again with Captain Tyler again, no doubt.

We had a great time with captain Tyler and deckhand Allan.  They worked hard to keep us on the fish.  Would definitely recommend!
