- My entire life has revolved around Sarasota Bay. I got my first job when I was 15 working at Hart’s Landing Bait Shop. Since then I have worked on commercial fishing vessels and have even owned a stone crabbing business. Even while in school my mind was on the water and I helped build the “Care Free Learner,” the boat used by Sarasota High School’s marine biology classes.
- Techniques
- My preferred style of fishing is inshore and nearshore fishing. While inshore I like to fish for flounder, trout, redfish, sheepshead, snook. I also like night fishing for snook and redfish. When nearshore fishing I like to target kingfish, spanish mackeral, grouper primarily. Beginning May when the Tarpon come around I like to target them too.
