- Background
- I have been fishing for Stripers on Lake Texoma for 40 years. My father taught me to drive a boat when I had to stand on a box to see over the console. I know where the fish will be at all times of the year. After I got my marketing degree from Texas Wesleyan i was in management with a Fortune 500 company for 20 years. When i got news that they were moving our operation over seas i decided to follow my dream of being a fishing giide. I have been guiding fishing trips for 15 years, and I look forward to every trip. Providing a service that helps people smile, de-stress, and have fun is very fulfilling. Not having to wear a tie to work is pretty cool too.
- Techniques
- Most of the year I prefer to fish with live bait for Stripers. When the Stripers and White bass are schooling on top, we catch them on spoons and slabs. When they go deep we drop live shad or troll with down riggers while we wait for them to surface again. I adjust our fishing to the conditions, so we may fish with live bait, cast spoons, and troll all in the same trip. We will do whatever it takes to get you hooked into fish. Seeing peoples eyes light up from excitement when their rod doubles over is whats its all about for me.
