We had an unforgettable experience fishing with Captain Paul on Fishin Mission Charter in Sandusky Bay! From the moment we stepped on the boat, Paul made the day fun, smooth, and exciting—especially for the kids.

The catfish were biting nonstop, and our boys each caught a trophy-sized fish—29.5” and 31.5”! Altogether, we probably reeled in about 20 fish!

We also brought our 6-month-old along, and Paul couldn’t have been kinder. He got such a kick out of the kids fishing (and our baby girl spectating). He was so welcoming and made sure everyone—from the littlest passenger to the most competitive fisherman—had a great time.

Captain Paul was patient, knowledgeable, and clearly loves what he does. We released all the fish, but still came home feeling like we’d made the best catch of the day.

What a trip! Captain Paul was the master of a well-appointed boat, and put us on fish from the word go. We caught our limit of walleye, and some big hogs throughout the day…all three of us were able to land a fish at least 27”, with the largest being 29 1/2”!

Paul let us get involved, working the rods, boards and even the nets in the end. Great teacher with great equipment and a deep understanding of the bay we fished.

Most importantly to us, Captain Paul’s energy was infectious, and he was as excited as we were pulling in the fish…lots of fist bumps, high fives and bro hugs on a trip we’ll remember forever… save a spot for us next year!

Overall a fabulous experience! Booking website/app was easy to use. Captain Paul called us several times ahead of the trip to make sure we knew where to park and answer our questions. This was our first time fishing on Lake Erie and he spent alot of time giving us tips and instructions on how to catch the fish. We caught a lot of fish and afterwards, he cleaned them, told us how to freeze them, and gave us a recipe to use when frying them up. We look forward to booking a trip with Captain Paul next year!

While the conditions were less than ideal for walleye fishing, captain Paul put us on the fish right away. It was a bright day with a decent chop and warm water, but we still caught fish the entire time out. Captain Paul was helpful in showing some fairly experienced anglers some new tactics and had all the equipment needed for a great day out. He was encouraging to my teenage kids and myself and I wouldn’t hesitate to use Fishin Mission Charters again in the future.

Captain Paul was fantastic. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and full of fun facts. He was terrific with our 12 and 15 year old and made true fishermen out of both with the perfect blend of hands on training but independence to let them do things on their own. He knew the perfect place to go so that we were able to catch a ton of Walleye, even though it is a little late for optimal Walleye season. We will definitely book with him again. Highly recommend!
