Member since April 2019 Galveston, United States
Background
I have been a professional full-time guide since 2001. I grew up fishing with my family on freshwater and in Galveston. I have always had a passion for fishing and I love to put smiles on my customers' faces. I am proud of my reputation as an experienced and knowledgeable fishing guide that truly cares about his clients. There are a lot of services to choose from, but finding a dedicated, experienced, and professional captain is the key. I feel I can adjust to the weather conditions and fish patterns better than most other guides. That can make all the difference in having a bad or good fishing experience. I'm known for being professional and patient with my customers, especially the kids. I just want my customers to have the best experience possible.
Techniques
I use live bait on 99% of my outings. It makes it easier for my customers to catch more fish. Live shrimp is used about 7 months of the year and live croaker is used in the remaining 5 months. I fish according to where the fish are where it should be – it might be a shoreline in the spring or a shell reef in the summer. I will anchor up or drift fish on most outings. I have some really good fishing guides that I network with and talk to on a daily basis, this keeps us on the fish. I also believe in using the top-quality fishing gear. Waterloo rods, Penn spinning reels, and Fins braided line are my sponsors and for a good reason.
