- The captain grew up fishing in Alaska and NW Washington as a young man chasing Salmon in both the ocean and local rivers. Moving down the coast, he's fished Oregon for 6 years, then started actively freedive spearfishing and moved down to California and the Channel Islands. Before long, the captain found himself spending several years in Louisiana, getting spoiled with their amazing fishery. Then he headed to South Florida, fishing the Lower Keys and Key West for 5 years as a captain and crew. After bouncing back and forth with the seasons, Reel Alaska Fishing Charters has been back year-round in Ketchikan, Alaska since 2018. Now both local businesses and landowners, the crew has fallen in love with this amazing community and plans to spend the rest of their lives here.
