Thank you for your review Scott, as we always appreciate feedback, but I am surprised that you noted in your review that you do not recommend Rhino Charger Sport Fishing and did not elaborate more on your experience with us. I would like to point out that our staff were very helpful with offering advice on how to get to the meeting spot when you advised us that you were staying in Playa Grande, which is a 40 minute drive from Tamarindo. As for the trip itself, the morning was quite slow we will admit but this is, of course, the nature of fishing as we don’t know what any day will bring. Even so, our captain was able to find tuna in the afternoon and our crew helped you land a decent 30 pound yellow-fin tuna, which we can confirm was the best any other charter did that day. As you can see by our many 5 star reviews, we are one of the most well respected and reputable charters in Tamarindo. I understand it was a slow day, but our crew did their best to ensure you had a great time with us and managed to put you on the fish by the afternoon. Might I suggest in the future booking a full day charter to help maximise your chances of catching more fish. Thank you for the review Lawrence, but to be honest I am very surprised that you did not recommended Rhino Charger. We spoke on the phone yesterday after your trip and you gave such high praise to the crew and the boat. You even asked if you could fish with us again, which we couldn’t do as we are fully booked over the week. It’s a little baffling to be honest. You did say to us that it was a slow day but also reminded us that it’s called “fishing not catching” - but even with the slow start we managed to put you on to some tuna in the afternoon (in which you caught three). You said to me that you would leave us a good review after the trip, so as you can imagine we are a little shocked that you gave us a poor review and didn’t elaborate further as to why you don’t recommend us. As you can see by our many five star reviews, we are one of the most highly recommended charters in Guanacaste and we always try to go above and beyond to ensure our clients have a memorable day with us. Hi Richard. Sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy yourself. The captain explained at the beginning of the trip that with 6 people on a four hour fishing excursion and windy conditions that it might be difficult to land any fish. This is because when it’s windy we have to travel further south where conditions are calmer. Also the other charters that were out that day caught nothing bar one charter that found some tuna much later in the afternoon. It’s interesting that you rated the boat and the crew so highly but wouldn’t recommend Rhino Charger Sport Fishing. As you can see by our many other reviews we are one of the most highly rated fishing charters in the area with a string of good testimonies and recommendations. In the future, may I recommend doing a 3/4 day or a full day to maximise your chances of catching fish. We hope you had a great vacation despite the fact and get to return to Tamarindo again soon!
