Captain Greg and crew took us out for a perfect half day of sight casting for cobia. We saw about 20-25 and casted at probably half of them while trolling for Spanish Mackerel. My son caught his first cobia and a mess of Spanish Mackerel. The boat was roomy and nice and the crew was kind and easy going. The review from my 8 year old, “it was good.”

What a fun day. Our Captain had to be switched out to another Captain but boy did we have fun. The Captain was so much fun and helped us with our catches and was friendly. Our first mate was amazing. So knowledgeable and helped us in every way. Both made our fishing trip one to remember. My son and family cannot wait to book with Earning Stripes Sportfishing next year.

Captain Allman and Mate Joseph were super. The boat was very comfortable including air conditioning that came in handy in the 90+ degree heat.  They sight-fished for Cobia.  We trolled for Spanish Mackerel and jig-fished over a wreck.  We hit our limit with 2 Cobia that were both over 40 inches and pulled in 9 mackerel in just a half day trip. I thoroughly enjoyed my fishing trip with captain Greg.  Being an angler myself, fishing only in the west coast, I didn’t know what to expect when I chartered with Greg.  Since I flew into Virginia, I didn’t have any of my rods or tackles with me.
