We’ve had numerous guided trips before and Captain Mark is by far the best. Before the trip he was very responsive and communicative, which made our trip preparation easy and stress free. He was prepared for the trip as he was there early, already having caught fresh bait, with numerous rigs already setup, and was sitting on his boat waiting on us to arrive. He was knowledgeable about the lake and the habits and tendencies of the fish - he knew where to be. Beyond all that he was friendly and very helpful. He ensured we all had a good time. He always assisted us when we got hung up and he even told us where his favorite stump on Santee is!!! It was easy to tell that Captain Mark is passionate about fishing and that he genuinely wanted us to catch fish and have a good time. He stayed later than scheduled to ensure we were able to go home with cleaned fish. From start to finish Captain Mark ran a first class experience. We had a great trip because Captain Mark is a great guide - can’t recommend him strongly enough.

Mark was an awesome captain and very knowledgeable of both the Santee Cooper Lakes as well as catfishing. We had a great day and look forward to going back out with Mark sometime in the near future.

Oh my gosh! Where do I even begin?! Captain Mark was so sweet and knowledgeable! Right from the start he was so welcoming and helpful, this was a trip for my son’s birthday & boy was it worth it! We had several catches in the boat before 7AM! We enjoyed going to the honey spots and reeling in some big Cats! After a full day on the water, Captain was so kind as to educate us on how to fillet our catches of the day! We will DEFINITELY be back! Thanks so much Capt. We did a family fishing trip and had a blast. We did not have to bring anything except sandwiches. We highly recommend Capt. Mark and will definitely use him again.

We had booked our trip with about a week before our trip to Santee.  The weather changed drastically as many people know this can negatively impact the fishing.  Despite this Mark had us in areas loaded with bait and fish all day but the fish just did not want to cooperate.  However, he still managed to put us on several willing catfish in the 8 - 16lb range and a pretty decent striper.  Mark is a very laid back guy and we enjoyed hanging out fishing an talking with him during our trip.
