I started fishing Lake Ontario when I was a child with my father. It turned into an addiction and passion. I now fish 7 days a week, 365 days a year. You won't find another person who puts more time into catching fish than I do, and I say that with 100% confidence! I absolutely love trolling for Salmon and Trout on Lake Ontario and I do that as much as possible. When I'm not on running charters I'm always fishing for something somewhere.

    honestly the best charter ive ever been on.

    all the charters ive ever been on have been bigger goups and usually theres people that go home empty handed. we had a group of 12, so matt got us set up with a second boat and both groups limited out so fast. It was ideally a perfect trip. We sat there talking crap with Matt and Josh while they got us on the fish, we hooked up, reeled the fish in, and they were like a perfect timed machine. fish in the boat, picture, cooler, line back out. both boats had so much fun. and we will be booking another trip with them.

    Bent rods all morning!

    Half Day Trip (AM) • 4 adults

    Great morning on Lake Ontario! We booked a 4-hour AM charter and were on fish all morning. Captain Matt and his mate Josh were knowledgeable, easy to work with, and kept us in the action from start to finish. Awesome experience and would definitely book again. Highly recommend!

    Best charter fishing experience ever. Took our teenage grandsons on the trip and so happy we went with 716. The captain and crew worked their tails off and I can't say we were the only charter catching fish but I can say that two other charter captains called our boat to inquire if we were getting anything because the were not. Yes I believe we chose the best charter service. We went out the 1st week in October and specifically wanted to fish for salmon on Lake Ontario. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

    I booked this charter for my grandson and 2 sons. Matt and Josh are very knowledgable and worked hard to ensure we did not just catch our limit but had an experience of a lifetime! My grandson is already wanting to go again after he caught a 22lb salmon due to their expertise. Thanks again 716 Sportsfishing

Lake Ontario is on fire!

There is not much more to say other than the fishing has been amazing. Limit catches have been the norm for us here lately. With the majority of the fish being King Salmon but we are seeing some Lake Trout, Coho, Atlantic, as well as Brown trout activity as well. Seems like the year to be here!

Our fishing reports for this month have sounded like a broken record. We’ve been getting limit catches daily for almost all of our groups! We’ve been fishing anywhere from 70-120’ of water. King salmon and lake trout have been our catches. The action has been fast and furious and fun! Don’t miss out on it, be a part of it!
