10 hour fishing trip. We got 1 Kingfish and 2 Swordfish. 1 Swordfish was huge.

I have three stars across all categories as everything was
fine, but nothing exceptional.  If I were to go down and book in Aruba again I would probably roll the dice with another boat with the hope of finding someone that really loved to fish and make a great experience.  We arrived at the dock at 12:45 for the 1:00PM trip, never be late for fishing, and hopped aboard and left immediately. The first comment from the Captain was that we would be heading home early since we left early, which is fine. We were paying for a 3 Hr trip and that could have gone without saying, but by making this the first conversation it seemed that the priority was checking a box and providing the minimal effort.  The second conversation was that I initially booked 3 people as my youngest son wasn’t planning on going and changed his mind so we had 4. Captain made it clear that he needed $35 more since we had an extra person. This was a perfectly reasonable request and I apologized that I incorrectly booked, but to make the first two conversations being concern about time on the water and $35 made me feel that time and money were the only concerns for the day. I understand that time and money for every boat is likely the #1 priority, but the art of the service is to make the customer feel like they are the priority.
The deck hand on the boat were terrific and enjoyable to talk to and very helpful. Captain was on his phone most the time and didn’t engage much.  I would reiterate that everything was fine and I don’t expect a captain to be charismatic and engaging, to fish more than the time allotted, or to pay less than expected, but 5 stars generally has an engaging experience that you feel like the experience is a priority vs. a simple monetary transaction

Here are a few details of the fishing:
From the dock to anchor was about 20 minutes. We fished the same spot. we went from the Marriott dock to a spot off of Eagle Beach. Caught 2 trigger fish, a couple smaller reef fish, and a ramora. Water was pretty calm. 2 of my kids have do get motion sickness and neither had any problems.
