Bottom fishing from 40 feet on out. Chum and your favorite baits dropped to the bottom with the least amount of weight possible. Lots of chum brings the snappers up and makes them easier to catch.

The trap bite was good. Lots of shorts but obviously keepers as well. Soft plastics on 1/8 or 1/4 ounce jigheads dud the trick

It's spring with that fish are doing spring things. Inshore, we have the trout leaving the creek mouths and rivers to the 3-5 foot flats. Best bets are shrimp or soft plastics on a jig head beneath a popping cork. The same jig heads and soft plastics bounced off the bottom work as well. Offshore. The sheep said are wrapping up their spawn. They're in twenty to fifty foot of water. Shrimp. Sandfleas and fiddler crabs on a 1/0 bait holder holder hook, with just enough lead to get to the bottom work best.
