Three of my friends and I had high hopes of landing multiple Salmon, Lake Trout, etc…but that didn’t happen on this trip. Captain Brady and his first mate Jeremy were very knowledgeable and professional and tried really hard to locate the fish; changing lures a lot; zig-zagging around the lake just trying to find the fish. Of course the weather was not the best and the lake on the rough side (5 footers at times). All-in-All, we had a good time.

We had a great trip with Captain Jason and First Mate Jeremy. They worked hard to get us fish and made sure we had a good and memorable time. They were great with our kids, even though one got seasick. Captain Dan was great with communication and offered to move our date to avoid very rough and high seas. Thank you!

Both Captain Dan and crew were hospitable and kind.  Their knowledge and experience was evident from the time we boarded to our departure.  We caught some great looking Trout and even managed to snag a King Salmon on a day when they weren’t biting. I wish I’d remembered the young crew members name because he deserves credit for working so diligently to ensure we had some great catches and provided help with reeling them in!  The team answered all our questions and we left learning some interesting facts about the fish and the experiences on Lake Michigan.  Upon departure, the Captain was kind enough to walk us through the cleaning and filet is the trout, even allowing my nephew to have his hand at trying, plus gave us a great recipe to try.  I originally thought the price was a bit high for the experience but when the boat, equipment and service are top rate your don’t mind paying that extra bit.  Thank you Getaway Charter for the experience!

My siblings and I took our dad out for an afternoon trip with Captain Dan and First Mate Brady. It was a blast!

We came away with smiles, great memories and a lot of fish. The crew was able to get us on top of a bunch of fish. Seeing my Dad have a blast reeling in several fish made the experience that much more memorable. This trip was the perfect Father’s Day present and I’m thankful Captain Dan and Brady were able to make it such a fun time on the lake.
