We had an awesome half day out with Captain Al. It was a perfect day, perfect weather, awesome crew. We never made it the full five hours,( motion sickness got most of us,) but we had a fantastic time catching beautiful striped bass.  The little ones caught the best fish. Can’t wait to go out next year.

The weather and sea was questionable for fishing. Captain Al laid out the options (which included canceling) and then we decided to go forward for at least half a day.  The first location had large swells, but captain Al maneuvered the ocean such that we could catch quite a few bass and blue. Buddy, daughter and I went out on a Birthday (my 59th…ouch!!!) 1/2 day run with Capt Al and mate Joe. We knew we were in great hands minute we stepped aboard…boat, gear and crew top notch and fully equipped for any/all catch. Had a great day off MTK Point…Al and Joe had us jigging and reeling our butts off and we came home with 3 keeper Bass (3 went back to live another day), 3 monster Blues, and a nice fluke. I went out with Captain Al on an 11:30 a.m. half-day trip with my brother and a friend. I chose Captain Al because of his good reviews and the availability of the mid-day start since we were coming from a bit upstate and didn’t want to leave our houses in the middle of the night to get there. We had a great time with our children and parents on a half-day trip from Montauk.  Captain Al was very attentive and made sure to take us to areas where we were most likely to catch fish.  He was excellent at instruction and we had a wonderful afternoon.
