We had an awesome time with Captain George and Bryce! It was our first time bay/ocean fishing.  Both George and Bryce were very knowledgeable about the area. They took us to a spot where we caught alot of ocean trout! Then we tried trolling for Spanish mackerel. We didn’t get one but captain George spotted a Cobia from the top deck. He hooked it and we reeled it in! It was awesome and big, 45 inches!  We had our kids, ages 9 and 5 with us. After trolling they catered to the kids and took them to a spot that they could bottom fish. I can’t reccomend this charter enough! Well worth it. I would absolutely book again with George. Best fishing experience of my life.  Been fishing for sixty years, but Captain George and First Mate Dillon gave me the best day ever.  I caught multiple cobia, including the largest fish I have ever caught.  My fishing buddy and I also filled the cooler with spanish mackerel.  On top of the best fishing ever, George and Dillon are two of the best young men you could ever hope to fish with.  From start to finish, their one goal was to make sure we had a fantastic day and the best fishing day possible.  I offer my highest recommendation to anyone wanting to fish the Chesapeake Bay to use Islander Sportfishing.  You won’t be disappointed.

First time fishing for cobia,  absolutely amazing customer service during booking and trip, respectful,  on time and produced not 1 or 2 but over 10 fish in 4 hours. My son landed a 50 lb Cobia within 2 hours of leaving the dock! Friendly and very knowledgeable when there 5 boats within a 1/2 mile of you and you the only boat catching fish consistently speaks for itself! No rush at all, at anytime, answered all questions, very efficient at fileting fish and putting in my cooler, no waste and sanitary! My family and I booked the sunset inshore trip which started at 5PM and I was running a few minutes late due to traffic on route 64 and never once felt rushed to get to the location.  They just sent me a message on the booking website saying “Take your time.  No rush” which made me feel at ease.  When I arrived at the location I wasn’t to sure where to park so I gave them a call and they directed me where to park and where to meet them.  After the quick introductions we were off to sea.  No waiting for anything.  They were well prepared and professional.  I told them days in advance my wife and I were after certain types of fish and they knew exactly the spots to try.  One of those fish were Red Drum.  We went to the location and wow, we were so amazed how knowledgeable they were, of the type of bait to use, which spot to cast it at, and how helpful Clayton was every step of the way.  We caught a couple but were only inches off being a keeper.  People in Jet-ski’s started coming by really fast and seemed to have scared off the fish because we stopped getting bites so we moved on to the next location.  While we were going we got to see dolphins swimming around and they were nice enough to let my daughter experience dolphins for the first time by positioning the boat where we could get the best view.  This didn’t at all feel like a charter, it felt like friends having fun and doing what we love.  Fishing and being out at sea.  We caught spot, croaker, round heads, and an occasional eel and skate which they always assisted with getting off the hook.  They never looked at the clock or rush us at all.  They even allowed us to go back to the spot where the red drum were to see if we can give it another shot to catch a keeper but no luck.  We went well past our time and I thank them for giving us that extra time.  We will definitely book with them again for our trip in July but will choose the half day bay trip this time to try to catch a cobia.
