The captain, Victor and deckhand, Augusto - had one mission - to find us some fish in the “off season”...along the way it was a gorgeous day and a relaxing journey in the ocean. The boat was extremely clean and comfortable.  The guys never sat down once and finally we hit on some barracuda and a mackrel. We were all able to reel in a fish and take plenty of pictures. i can’t recommend this boat and these guys enough!!! We had the greatest time making amazing memories!!!

We had a great experience fishing aboard the Grand Slam in Cozumel, Mexico with our crew, Victor and Augusto. They worked incredibly hard to get us on the fish, constantly adjusting and doing everything possible to put fish on our lines. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t fully cooperate—the seas were pretty rough—which I guess is why they call it fishing and not catching. We ended up switching to a sister boat, the “Why Not” a couple days before the trip for maintenance issues. Let me tell you, I could’ve be happier with the switch, the crew Captain Freddy, two mates Renee & Miguel were incredible & so hospitable! They worked hard to find the bite & keep us in the fish. Ended with 5 Barracuda, one really nice! Lost one sail fish at the boat but that’s fishing. They made fresh guacamole & fresh ceviche out of one of the fish, & let me tell you it was incredible!!... Agustus worked endlessly preparing bait, clearing seaweed and when limited fish hit was right on it. Got a medium mahi and small amber jack. Should probably have gone after baracuda which were hitting but wanted to give Marlin and mahi the chance. Nice stable boat and refreshments offered.

It was easy to get there from the cruise port. I got the address and got a taxi that took us to the other side of the island it was super easy about 10 minutes. The captain and mate we’re waiting and took us right away it was a calm day I knew a little late in the season to catch any special fish so we hit shallower waters and caught barracuda all day. If you’re taking a cruise to Cozumel you can definitely use these guys don’t use the shore excursions they’re so expensive from the ship.... More
