Great weather day out of Cozumel, Captain and crew were on time and the vessel was clean and neat.

With it being the very start of game fish season, we knew the risks of targeting billfish etc. Unfortunately the ocean did not provide today, but the crew worked hard to allow us every opportunity nonetheless.

Food and drinks were great, and although the fishing was slow, the experience was great and I would certainly look up Victor and his crew again should I come back to Cozumel.

We had a blast fishing today with Victor and Crew. We knew it isn’t prime fishing season but wanted to go anyway. We fished for quite awhile before catching anything and then bam…4 barracuda and a beauty of a snapper. We will for sure hire Grand Slam on our next trip to Cozumel!

Didn’t catch anything but the two guides worked there tails off. I only wanted big fish so that’s the chance you take.  I would do it again. Thanks

Our trip started a little slow but once we found the fish, game on. Augusto and Victor work as hard to put you on fish as anyone I’ve ever fished with.  Augusto kept changing baits and colors until he found the right combination. Very rewarding experience, we put some quality fish in the boat, and one huge mahi mahi. An unforgettable experience, and thanks also for the lunch and comradery.

Wonderful water. Northwest wind made it tough to find bones or tarpon. Struck out but no fault of the crew and setup. Really tried their hearts out but that’s Fishing.

Hi Patrick,

I’m sorry to hear that the trip on board the Big Time didn’t turn out as expected.

There’s not much we can do about the marina, there are only a couple in Cozumel and the other one is the one getting work done now, hopefully they’ll get to Marina Caleta soon.

Thank you very much for your comments about the crew not talking to you enough, I will definitely let them know and we’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again.

The No Fish part, well, it was unfortunate. There are days like these. The Big Time has been catching lots of fish these past couple of months, participated in 3 tournaments and in all 3 had blue marlins on hook; like I said before, when fishing there are days like these.

I thank you again for fishing with us and for letting us know where we can improve.

Best regards

We had a great experience during our trip with the Grand Slam and crew. The crew was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They did all they could in their power to put us on some fish, but as fishing goes, there are good and bad days. We just couldn’t get the fish to bite, but that is fishing. I would highly recommend using this boat and crew, as they will do all that they can to try to help you catch fish during your trip. They will constantly change baits, check on baits, etc. We were able to pull in one mahi mahi, but still had an enjoyable trip.

I only rated a 3 is not anything anyone did or equipment or boat.  It was a very windy day so the sea was really choppy. The guys worked extremely hard to satisfy but there just wasn’t any fish. The other boats didn’t catch any either. We did however leave with a blackfin tuna. Thank you for the first time experience Augusta and Victor.

Thank you Karen,

It was a very windy day…....and yes, when you go out fishing there’s never the certainty of catching fish, just hard work and experience to increase the probabilities and make the best out of each chance.

Hope to see you back to give it another try, billfish season is starting, we just need to wait for a less windy day to get to those fishing grounds.

Booked an 8 hr Fish/Snorkel Trip w/ AquaAdventures.  The owner (Pedro) was very accommodating.  Exchanged several emails regarding our trip and agenda.  Pedro even helped with suggestions for other activities as this was my first trip to Cozumel.

Date of trip arrived and we were met immediately outside our resort at planned pick-up time.  Crew was very helpful and made every effort to make our day enjoyable.  We started off slow but the first mate continued to work to find the right bait/lure combination as the captain searched for fish.  Soon we were lulling in several Mahi until we decided we had our fill of fishing.

Myself and my two teenagers then went to snorkeling.  We started at Columbia Reef which was beautiful and amazing.  Lunch was provided which included some freshly made Civiche from our catch,  Again, the crew made every effort to provide a great meal.  The boat was well stocked with food, drink, fresh fruit and snacks.  the fresh civiche was a great compliment to the day.

I would highly recommend AquaAdventures for these type of excursions.  They also have a dive shop which I hope to take advantage of on our next trip.

The captain and mate really took very good care of the group by making sure we were well attended too. We caught 5 fish and were able to bring mahi mahi to Carlos and Charlie’s for lunch too cook our fresh fish. It was delicious.  Going out with them on our trip.

We were picked up at 7:00am as promised at the Resort’s dock, once aboard, cruised out to open waters in about 25 minutes and fishing started, within minutes 5 lines were in water and we were fishing, we (the two of us) were lucky enough to catch -2- Barracuda and -3- Tuna thanks to the Captain and 1st mate, of course we do wonder if one or more of the three fish that got off the line might have been a BIG One, but that just makes it more desirable to come back and try again. Thank you Captain for a FABULOUS Fishing experience.  Anyone desiring a great time with an experienced charter crew, you definitively should book with them.

Although we caught no fish, the crew & captain did everything possible from continually changing live baits, lures, depths & locations. We kept 5 lines in the water at all times the fish just weren’t biting that day. Otherwise it was a fantastic experience & would do again.

The crew went all out and rigged everything expertly and kept everything clear of seaweed. We caught three nice Mahi Mahi and since we were on a cruise could not take them home. They filleted one and took us to a restaurant that cooked it for us. My wife and three adult children were with me and everyone had a blast. Nice open boat, clean and plenty of water, soft drinks and beer. I received great communication by email from the boat captain about the weather.
