We had a great experience fishing aboard the Grand Slam in Cozumel, Mexico with our crew, Victor and Augusto. They worked incredibly hard to get us on the fish, constantly adjusting and doing everything possible to put fish on our lines. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t fully cooperate—the seas were pretty rough—which I guess is why they call it fishing and not catching.

That said, we still managed to catch three fish and, more importantly, had a really fun and memorable time out on the water. The boat was clean, well maintained, and the rods and reels were clearly high-quality, which made the experience even better.

Despite the challenging conditions, the crew’s effort, professionalism, and positive attitude made all the difference. We would definitely recommend the Grand Slam to anyone looking to fish in Cozumel and would happily go out with them again.

We ended up switching to a sister boat, the “Why Not” a couple days before the trip for maintenance issues. Let me tell you, I could’ve be happier with the switch, the crew Captain Freddy, two mates Renee & Miguel were incredible & so hospitable! They worked hard to find the bite & keep us in the fish. Ended with 5 Barracuda, one really nice! Lost one sail fish at the boat but that’s fishing. They made fresh guacamole & fresh ceviche out of one of the fish, & let me tell you it was incredible!! Highly recommend!!

The captain, Victor and deckhand, Augusto - had one mission - to find us some fish in the “off season”...along the way it was a gorgeous day and a relaxing journey in the ocean. The boat was extremely clean and comfortable.  The guys never sat down once and finally we hit on some barracuda and a mackrel. We were all able to reel in a fish and take plenty of pictures. i can’t recommend this boat and these guys enough!!! We had the greatest time making amazing memories!!!

Our party of 4 had a fun afternoon fishing on the Grand Slam with Gusto and Victor! Both of them worked tirelessly to get us on some fish. We caught a barracuda and a red snapper! We even got caught in a thunderstorm! It was a great time and enjoyed by all! Thanks for a great experience!

We booked with Grand Slam but he was full and offered us to go on the Why Not boat and we accepted. Both the captain and his hand were fantastic. They worked their butts off the full 4 hour trip!

We knew it was end of season, but wanted our teen boys to experience this in Mexico with us, so took a chance. We ended up catching 5 gorgeous Mahi Mahi and lost a 6th during transfer to the boat. We also reeled in a 45lb Wahoo but its teeth cut the line before we were able to get it in the boat. All in all, they did everything in their power to put us on fish and make it a memorable experience. Can’t say enough great things about them!
