We wasted a lot money doing this with our 14 year old son. We caught nothing but the worst part was the fact that the captain and his helper didn’t even look at us, did not speak to us or engage whatsoever. They didn’t smile, seemed put off to have to take us out and gave up early. They barely even asked us if we wanted to try casting and didn’t teach us anything. Paid for the half day and they cut it an hour short. Said you’ll go out 10 miles and didn’t make it half that before they turned back in on a tip. Spent the first 20 minutes net fishing in the harbor for bait fish. It was a nice day on the water and Jose and his buddy were nice but should have been half the price. Amateur hour.

The trip should have been cancelled due to the weather. There was thunder, lightning and waterspouts present.  It was torrential weather.  There was only one other boat out.  The captain chose to take us out and take our $600.  We were out for 4.5 hours and lines were only in the water approximately 30 minutes.  I should have booked with a professional fishing company who would do the right thing and cancel.  This is a one man show .
