I would like to explain to you again as we did the day of our trip about the strategy for fishing for yellowtail on the reef.  We are fishing in 90+ feet of water. The yellowtail our target fish are very shy and take a while to come to the surface.  We have to determine how these fish are going to act while we are fishing for them. Basically only allowing one or maybe two lines in the water at a time. If we do not use this technique the fish will disappear. Your suggestion was to have all six lines in the water at once so everyone could fish at the same time. This technique does not work with these fish or a lot of fish in the Florida Keys. As soon as you guys all decided to fish at once with all lines in the water you noticed that the fish disappeared and would not bite anymore.  To move and start over again would have ended in the same results. We did put you on a lot of fish that any other people would have been very excited to catch. We are sorry that you did not have a good time and did not mention to the captain that you where unhappy at any time during your trip or after. We strive to make it a fun experience and a plentiful catch for all of our clients. We deal with what mother nature has to offer us. It is also a learning experience.  If you’ve never fished in the Florida Keys is much different than many different areas of the world. Our deck is slightly smaller but average size to accommodate the lush interior with the amenities of a/c, bathroom, kitchen and wraparound furniture that you enjoyed also. We have never had a complaint of lack of size.

Kathleen we are so sorry that your family had gotten sea sick during your trip.  You indicated that you have fished all around the world and no one has ever gotten sick. Unfortunately we can not control Mother Nature or isea sickness We wanted to fish on the reef where the water was calmer but you indicated that you wanted target bigger fish and go farther out to sea and in deeper water. That is exactly what we did. This also look a little longer travel time. When we get anchored and start to chum for fish in deeper water it takes some time for the fish to rise especially from 100 ft of water. Also the Yellowtail are frightened easy and need alittle time for them to come to the surface. We are sorry that your family got sea sick by this time it is unfortunate that we had to pack up and return so soon. Please remember that we are in business and have a lot of expenses , fuel, bait, chum, ice, just to mention a few that need to be paid as well and a large commission to the booking agent.  We are not in the position to not charge for our trip when someone gets sick.  Plus the mate always gets paid on tips. when the mate doesn’t get tipped we have to pay him out of our pocket and that we had to do. Thank you Daniel for the great review. We had a awesome 3/4 day trip. We caught a lot of great fish. Yellowtail, Mutton Snapper, Bonita, Bar Jack and more.  Can’t wait to fish with you again.
