Had an absolutely great time fishing with my father, with the intention of possibly eating our couch for lunch after the trip. This is exactly what happened, in the smoothest way possible, not to mention the most deliciously prepared grilled fish tacos we’ve ever had! We were hooked on with some huge fish, nurse shark, stingray, and some other monsters that simply won the battle. But the ones we got in the boat were the ones we wanted and the captain worked extremely hard to get us on those fish! Much appreciate! The captain also recommended the mellow café for preparation of our catch, which happens to be right where the charter takes off and returns from. Could not be more convenient or a better experience honestly.

My wife and twin 15 year olds did a half day trip on the 23’ with Ryan and had an awesome action packed time.  Started our with some Tarpon fishing, where we hooked a big one, fought it for a while, and couldn’t quite bring it in then caught some great tasting snapper in the mangroves, and my son had some fun bringing in a yellow jack.  Also had some fun when a shark ate the snapper I was reeling in.  Ryan is a great knowledgeable captain whom I can’t recommend him enough.  Additionally, I highly recommend bringing your catch to the Mellow Cafe right next to the boat.  Best fish tacos I’ve eaten.

If you’re looking for a short excursion just to spend some time on the water, get a different view of Key West, and catch a few fish, I’d highly recommend the 2 hour outing with Good Times Key West. Nate served as our captain. A good conversationalist (especially after discovering we were both from the upper Midwest) and he put us on some fish. He even snagged (and obviously released) a nurse shark which was quite the experience. Our catch was mullet snapper and some small, yet very picturesque yellow tail. It would have been nice to have a café or restaurant very close by to cook the catch for lunch. My only recommendation to the Captain is to add some paper towels or rags to the equipment list. Overall, would highly recommend the 2 hour outing on the Good Times Key West.

We booked this trip because it was my husband and son’s first time fishing in the ocean and we were worried about boredom for my son (7) and any possible sea-sickness for both of them. Neither was a problem at all!

The trip was wonderful! They caught a ton of fish, were very instructive with my son, and even got in a bit of snorkeling! They caught enough fish for a full fish dinner for 9 people!

The only complaints were that it was pretty windy and the Captain started off having a bit of a hard time keeping the boat stationed over the fishing holes. He switched boats in a tight turnaround before our trip and we think the boats just handled differently in the wind. This was quickly resolved and the rest of the trip was great!

Great day for my mom and I! Justin was so kind and patient and showed us a great day. Did some fishing and also got to see some beautiful places and animals.  He was so knowledgeable about the area and history so it was a bonus to learn more about the things we were seeing. We’ll definitely book again! Also the restaurant on the dock will cook your catch! Deliciously fresh fish tacos!
