Tim (1st mate) did a great job and worked hard. Ashley (Capt) was a nice guy. Boat was in good order. It was frustrating that we spent about 8 hrs doing the exact same thing. Resulting in very few fish caught. For ~$2,400 we came home with maybe 10-15lbs of edible fish. I really didn’t appreciate the surprise “Credit Card Fee” $84 Fee….tacked onto the bill without notice. Especially after I had just tipped ~$400.

Ashley had his 1st mate wear a headset so they could communicate. Which I completely understand. At first I thought it was kinda cool. However, those two talked to each other for 8 hrs and it was rather awkward trying to interact with the crew that was more or less on a “phone call” with each other. If someone would ask me my honest opinion if I would recommend I would have to say no. No based on my last experience. I would expect if your not catching fish why would you continue to do the same exact thing for 6-7 hrs. Why wouldn’t you change bait/tackle/methods.

Party of six had a great day of offshore fishing with Captain Ashley and First Mate Bryce. Weather was good and the catch was exceptional consisting of lots of Mackerel, Mahi and Tuna. Bryce is commended for ensuring we “landlubbers” had a great haul from the sea! Hope to be back again next year on Breakwater Charters.

Despite our trip being cut short on our part due to sea sickness, Captain Ashley and first mate Cody spent our entire trip targeting fishing spots and being incredibly friendly, helpful, and personable and helped us catch multiple fish and walk away with a couple of black drum. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again!

The experience my family and I had on this trip was nothing short of outstanding. The captain and mate were top notch and got us on the fish. We walked away with mahi, wahoo, barracuda, albacore tuna, and spanish mackerel. Definitely would recommend and I would book this charter again.
