Background
Around 2010 my wife suggested I need a hobby... Winter of 2011, I went fishing off the of Turks and Caicos Islands and it was ok – not great. I tried some surf fishing and it was relaxing but there needed to be more to this fishing to get me hooked. Spring of 2012, my wife bought me a little boat and said you will have fun fishing on it and I met a country guy that said he loved to fish, so by that fall I was hooked. November 2012, I did a charter out of Ocracoke Island NC and we caught Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, and a Sailfish – It was on! I'm hooked. So now I charter because nothing is better than people saying "When can we do this again?" I think it was that feeling of my first Wahoo that never gets old. So its my wife’s fault and I love her so much for showing me there is more to life than just working to pay bills.
Techniques
The gulfstream is a perfect storm of pelagic action! Trolling for tuna, wahoo, mahi-mahi, sailfish, white and blue marlin can be world class. There are excellent jigging and popping opportunities most of the year for the same species. Closer to the beach there is a bunch of action for seasonal favorites like Atlantic bonito, false albacore, Spanish mackerel, bluefish, and king mackerel. May through September nearshore to 40 miles offshore great trips for cobia, mahi-mahi, king mackerel, sailfish, and all kinds of bottom fish sea bass, triggerfish, beelines, porgies, grunts, groupers and snappers THE BOAT 34ft Fountain Center Console allows 360 degree of uncluttered fish-ability. Plenty of below deck storage and large in floor kill boxes. Lots of rod holder allows us to leave the dock prepared for a variety of species. With a cruise speed of 40 plus mph and a top speed over 60 mph enables us to spend more time fishing and less time riding. We’ll give you an experience that is fast, f
