Booked with Grayson but his father, Ramon, took us out, which was fine as he knows the local waters well and is a good fisherman . Had to wait for his guide, John, to be legal to go out. Web site said they would take a credit card for the balance of the trip, but didn’t which took all of my cash ( ie their potential tip).
We were taken out on a boat that turns out was rented from another person. Engine ran out of oil because dip stick wasn’t secured. Grayson did come out and bring us some oil, but the engine made an ominous knocking noise and we shut it down. Grayson came back out with the owner of the boat and took us in but we were 2 hrs past our return time.
We caught a couple king mackerel, a small amber jack, and a nice barracuda. John caught a nice amber jack that they filleted and gave to us. The way we trolled was only set up for two lines but there were 3 of us who wanted to fish.
Lunch was good.

Great trip for 2 people to go fishing.  Grayson is a very experienced guide and extremely personable.  He knows what is biting and where to find the fish you want.  We had four people wanting to fish in the boat but only two lines trolling.

Very good captain and all around nice guy. Fishing was tough for fly stripping but the spin cast people were doing great, all had a great time.
