Husband and Wife fished all day on two lakes. Guide was informative, gave good tips, helped with casting, bait, and netting fish. He chuckled when netting the fish, which was funny to listen to. He had good sense of humor. He was a good story teller. He knew the area well and background, too. We highly recommend.

A great day overall.  A tough day on the water bite-wise. The monsters stayed put and numbers were down, but Steve kept moving us around until they started hitting.  He also did a great job teaching us how to improve our technique and learned to bottom jig as well.  Lot’s of fun working hard to get off the schneid!  Memories for a lifetime.

My husband and I took our 8 year old daughter out on Captain Steve’s boat. She wanted to catch fish that she could eat. He was considerate to take us on a lake that had easy access to a restroom and the types of fish she was looking for. We weren’t catching many keepers, but we did catch a lot of fish and enough keepers for a meal. Steve was very kind and patient with our daughter, helping her bait her hook and cast and giving her tips. We all had an awesome time.

We had a great experience on our 1/2 day fishing trip with Mike.  He was ready for us with the boat in the water when we arrived at the meeting point.  He had bait and poles ready for us!  We caught bass at each spot he brought us and caught some small walleye and a northern.  Our girls were excited to catch fish and Mike was fun and kept us entertained with fun facts and interesting history of the area!  We will definitely use Mike again when we return next time!!

Steve is a knowlegeable and friendly guide who knows how to find the fish.  I have fished with him three years in a row, and will definitely be back in 2025
