Booked a charter with Captain Tom at Posiden charters. Everything was even better than I expected. He was very personable and knowledgeable. Not only about fishing but he was full of little facts about the surrounding scenery. We booked the shark fishing trip and after catching a bull shark.Things slowed down.I had a group of teens and kids so he recommended another spot where we could catch something else. I’m so glad he did! We caught other fish and the kids had a blast. I would recommend Posiden fishing to anyone looking to fish rather experienced or not.

Our captain was great. His 1st mate was extremely helpful as well. She’s a very small statured Asian female and was bouncing all over the place baiting hooks, detangling lines, helping the kids cast and reel in when they caught something, etc. We got into Red Snappers and trout. Maybe 1/4 were keepers. We also caught a young shark(maybe 3 feet long). I think it was a Mako but I’m not sure. The Cpt had 1 large pole out and that it is what it was caught on. He let my 11 y/o son actually reel it in, which made his day. We didn’t end up with $600 worth of fish by any stretch but we were at least catching them; a lot of them. Most were just too small to keep.  The time spent out doing something fun with the kids made it worthwhile though and hopefully it will be a fond memory for them when they’re older. I definitely feel comfortable recommending Poseidon for your next fishing charter.
