Roger met our group on time and set us up quickly on the boat with the crew.  The boat was in great shape and clean, and the tackle utilized was well maintained.  Although the bites were limited, the crew stayed the course and we hooked a 35Ilbs King Fish!! Saw several Sea Turtels too. Recommend Cheel Beh!

Dispite early season roger and crew set out to hunt for what I requested which was mahi mahi.
Offshore we found a mile long stretch of seaweed and within hour we were getting bites and landing fish. Great equipment and crew was on top of their game.  Mahi to gourmet ceviche right on boat !!! Sunny and 11mph wind slight chop but managed well. From expierenced fisherman and fisherboy I can say they were great to be with on half day on our vacation.

I’m a hard person to please sometimes but the experience that Roger and crew provided me and my family far surpassed my wildest expectations. We met Roger first thing and he prepped us for the day with bags of snacks and lunch. We went to the boat which was a well kept Cobia center console and we were off. The crew was spanish and English speaking (Mexican captains are required) and they took care of every detail. We hugged for a few hours for bait fish and managed to not only land several bonito in the process but a trophy sized Amberjack to start the day!  After a 41 minute fight my arms were spent but the crew kept jogging for bait while I rested. They were fishing machines and clearly having fun fishing themselves. After catching two 40lb+ amberjack, wedecided that some swimming was in order. The capt took us to an amazing private sandy beach and even threw out fresh beers when needed. Amazing!!  We returned to the dock and they made the freshest ceviche from our catch while a steady stream of onlookers came to see the monster catch.  To my surprise the crew bought me a birthday cake which we all ate along with the ceviche. Best day that I could have ever wished for. Will definitely fish with them again. Thanks!

I don’t normally review trips of any kind online, but after our trip with Cheel Beh last week, I felt compelled to.  My 2 teenage grandsons & I went out with Roger, Bartolo & Brian on 7/21/17 for a 3/4 day trip.  Before even arriving, Roger touched base several times via email to find out about us and what our expectations were.  On the day of our trip, we were blessed with incredibly calm seas and great weather and landed 5 nice mahi mahi.  When finishing the day & heading in, we stopped & jigged up whatever was swimming on the bottom & landed a few grouper & yellow tail snapper…Constant action that the boys enjoyed as well.  The weather, fishing and camaraderie on the boat, in/of itself made for a first class fishing trip, but the ‘after-trip’ really pushed the experience over the top. 

When we got back to the dock, Roger ran to the store to grab veggies for ceviche, while Bartolo filleted the fish.  Roger came back & enlisted the boys to help with the ceviche, while Bartolo took some of the fish to get fried. My grandsons/I are all fisherman, but somehow we’ve missed out on ever making/eating ceviche.  It was easily the best meal we had on our trip.  When we had all finished up, Roger gave us a ride back to our place in Playa Del Carmen.

I can’t stress enough the level of preparation/attentiveness Roger & his crew showed.  It is VERY evident that 1) fishing is their passion; 2) they are serious about what they do; 3) they understand how important the customer is.  We could’ve gone out and not caught a single fish, and the whole trip would still have been worth it/made for a great day.  In my opinion, as a fisherman, the experience is just as important as the catch.

On our 4 day trip to Playa, we did A LOT of activities, but our fishing with Roger & his crew was hands down the best time we all had.  It made for some really cool memories.  If you are planning to fish on your trip to Mexico, you can’t go wrong with Cheel Beh!

Booked fishing trip and had good contact with Roger right up to the point we left for fishing.  We met Roger at Puerto Aventuras and met the captain and first mate at the dock.  We loaded on the boat and headed out.  We tried fishing for bill fish, but were unsuccessful.  Roger and crew decided to change tactics and we started bottom fishing.  We were successful, and managed to catch 6 trigger fish.  After the fishing we were able to enjoy some authentic ceviche that Roger made for us.  Talking with other anglers that went out on the same day, the other charters were unsuccessful in catching anything.  We appreciated Roger and crews willingness to change approach on fishing, to ensure a good overall experience.  We highly recommend using Roger with Cheel Beh fishing for a positive experience.
