We had a blast would definitely go again caught Mahi-mahi tuna Baracuda

Had great day with Marcelino . Very experienced captain. Sea conditions were a little rough ,he and the boat handled them beautifully. Caught some fish and had a great day . I recommend him for your next trip.

I have mixed feelings about this experience and while writing the review.

First, we got a message at 4am saying he wanted to reschedule, which we simply could not do. It was scheduled for 7am, but he wanted to work with us and pushes it back to 9am. We were fine with this.

Then, he came to pick up 6 of us (the reservation was for 6 people) with a pickup truck that could only drive 4 people and blamed me for his misunderstanding. We had to get a cab, but my cousins that were driving with him said he complained about me a lot of the time.

The trip itself was fine, but not what we expected. We thought we would all get our own reels, but we has to share one real amongst the 6 of us. We didnt know what we were doing, and the captain was clearly frustrated, sometimes even raising his voice. Directions were very unclear.

Lastly, at the end of the trip, he insisted on getting paid more, which I did because he did stay an hour longer with us (I wasnt even aware, not having a watch or my phone on me), but I thought it was tacky.

What I can say is he did a LOT of the hard work (and he did work VERY hard), and we enjoyed being on the water. Still, I’m on the fence of whether or not it was really worth it.

We caught a few snapper, a couple grouper, and a couple other fish (including a large amberjack).

Overall, it was pretty fun, but we just expected a bit more.

I HIGHLY recommend maxing your group out at 4—no more than that for this charter.

There crew was attentive experienced and engaging. We encountered bad weather, rain and a bit of rough water but we made the best of it. Can’t home with a tuna and barracuda… Both were delicious oh the grill.

Marcelino and his crew are great, good personalities and very knowledgeable about fishing! We had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to do some serious fishing!!!
