Johnny was a great guide. Weather had just changed but he wasn’t giving up. He tried so hard to put us on the big fish he kept saying we’re going to bait this up one more time. Two hours later, after our fishing time had ended, he decided to call it a day. Still had a great time, taught us a ton about how to rig up for drag fishing, and almost caught our limit. We will be going back to fish with him again.

We had a great day with Captain Johnny.  He knew right where to take us to catch the catfish we were after.  He had great equipment and after just a few minutes we had out 11 rods waiting for the fish to bite.  He shared his knowledge of the lake, baits, techniques, and tips for us to use in the future on our own boat.  We did’t get to catch the infamous “limit:, but still went home with plenty of fish for some nice dinners.  We will be back to fish with him again at a different time... We had an absolutely AMAZING time! I can not recommend anyone better! Johnny got us on the fish quickly and they were steady the whole trip. We ended up with 63 keepers in about 4 hours, and shut down early as it was getting too hot out! We were staying a few mores days at Tawakoni, and the next day he called and said he had some live bait he caught for us to use as we continued to fish ourselves. Such a great guy and fun experience!
