Captain Derek was great! The boat and equipment was clean and in good shape. He put me on the fish right away and had steady smallmouth action for most of the 4 hour trip. No whoppers but several decent size fish. I will be recommending him to friends and family if they will be in the area.

We had a great trip even though we only caught moss and sticks, but you can’t control the weather or the fish. We just enjoyed being outside on the river doing what we love. We couldn’t have chosen a better charter. Captain Derek was super friendly, personable and knowledgeable about fishing and history of the area. We did get to see a bald eagle perched in its nest! Great conversation and views! We’re coming back in the spring time!

Had a great day fishing for trout on the Clinch River with my three boys.  Captain Gavin was very accommodating.  He did a great job keeping us all fishing helping to change out lures and quickly get us unsnagged.  Boat was very clean and easy to for all of us to fish without feeling like we were on top of each other.  Captain Gavin was very personable with my boys talking about all things hunting and fishing.

We had a great morning with Captin Derek. He was helpful and easy to hang with. 4 of us on his boat and we caught 5 fish. Nabbing a fish was a bonus bc the river itself was worth experiencing. Beautiful AND fun. Highly recommend.

This trip was purchased for my adult sons and brother-in-law.  While I did not go on the excursion - the report was that everything was terrific and that the captain was kind, courteous and patient! :)  Thank you for making our family trip even better.
