We booked for December 18th and confirmed with the boat owner on December 17th, by email.  We showed up at the allotted time and place but the boat was a no show.

Everyone makes mistakes so I measure a person not by the mistake but by what you do in response. Do you take responsibility, apologize and offer a solution or do you simply pass the buck?

I called the owner who blamed the Captain.  An owner of another boat, who was on the wharf, knew our Captain and phoned him on our behalf and the Captain said the owner cancelled the charter.  Neither the owner or the Captain took responsibility for the mistake and neither apologized to me or my family.

To try to remedy the situation, at our suggestion (not the owner’s) we went fishing the next day.  It was a good day and my sense is that the Captain and his mate/spouse Maria worked hard to find us fish.  But in light of the above and the fact he did not apologize I cannot give him 5 stars.

You would think that the owner would follow up with us after our day of fishing. But not a word from him.

Again, everyone makes mistakes but I take measure of a person by how she/he responds. I am not impressed with either of them.

The captain (Ramon) and his first mate were great. I would book another charter with him

Going for Striped Marlin. Had my opportunity, but lost it. Maybe next time. Maria worked extremely hard and kept the the are super clean, all the time. Worth every single penny.

Great crew. Very organized and well equipped with good tackle and bait. Very friendly. Very clean. Good value. Caught 6 different kids of fish. Recommend this boat to anyone.
