I started fishing as soon as I could hold a rod and reel. I began fishing at Kyp's Fish Camp on Lake Beresford in DeLand, FL. Then, I quickly started fishing off the beaches and piers in saltwater. Once I got a taste of the big bluewater fish as a kid, I was hooked. I love the water, it's very relaxing and easy to clear your head with the fresh scent of saltwater.

Nice trip out with the “surprise closure of red snapper.” We released several red snapper and still managed to put together a solid box with some nice lane snapper and a sheepshead. A day on the water is always better than a day on land. ? Released some full grown red snapper that wore the clients out.

Had a great 6-hour trip this morning with a little later start than usual—but it didn’t slow us down! ? The crew put together a solid catch, harvesting their 4-person limit of vermilion snapper along with a couple of lane snapper. We also released some red snapper and short vermilion, and kept things interesting feeding a few sharks along the way! Calm seas and fish that were ready to bite made for an awesome day on the water. If you’ve been thinking about getting out there, now’s the time.
