Captain
Capt. Crow

Member since December 2019 Malé, Maldives
Background
Captain Crow is a well-seasoned Maldivian, who loves the ocean. After introduction to fishing at a very young age by his father, he started fishing in the crystal clear lagoons of the tiny island nation using his ultralight casting gear gifted by his parents. During his teen days, he was also introduced to surfing, which gave him added advantage/knowledge of ocean energy including water current in the island/atolls setup, ocean swell direction, tides, sea temperature, and the seasonal changes in the wind direction. He holds a degree in Finance, currently working in the banking sector, and when not fishing he spends time with his kids in his home Island, where he operates his fishing charter.
Techniques
Usually he loves to fish at 10-60 meters of water and preferred fishing techniques are popping, jigging and trolling. The charter boat is equipped with live bait well, since bait attracts fish from far and wide and the technique is very popular among the local fisherman. Night fishing is fun in the Maldives, since significant number of fish can be hooked within a short time frame using live bait. He is currently exploring deep drop fishing and jigging at 200 meter deep. Since the the possibilities of sports fishing in the Maldivian water are unlimited and he loves to learn salt water fly fishing for Giant Trevally in a near future.
