Member since December 2019 Malé, Maldives
Background
Captain Crow is a seasoned Maldivian with a deep passion for the ocean. Introduced to fishing at a young age by his father, he first cast his line in the crystal-clear lagoons of his island home, using an ultralight fishing rod gifted by his parents. In his teenage years, Captain Crow also discovered surfing, which further enhanced his understanding of the ocean’s natural rhythms—such as water currents, swell direction, tides, sea temperature, and seasonal wind patterns—particularly within the unique environment of the Maldives' atolls. He holds a degree in Finance and works in the banking sector, but when he's not at his desk, you’ll find him on the water, either fishing or spending quality time with his children on his home island, where he runs his fishing charter
Techniques
Usually he loves to fish at 1-60 meters of water and preferred fishing techniques are popping, jigging and trolling, fly fishing and traditional harpoon fishing targeting wahoo. Sunset fishing or Night fishing is fun in the Maldives, since significant number of fish can be hooked within a short time frame using live bait.
