Guiding to me is more than just putting people on the fish. At an early age, I realized that I had a true passion for the water and nature. I knew that I wanted to do a job that I would love going to every day. When I looked further into becoming a fishing guide I knew this was what I was meant to do. Waking up every day to take people fishing is the greatest thing ever. I get to enjoy the great outdoors with so many wonderful people day after day. I get to help them make sense of this crazy thing called fishing. Nothing makes me happier than seeing people smile because they either just caught a fish of a lifetime or they're simply enjoying their time on the water. That's why I do what I do. I have an extensive background in all fishing areas, from fly fishing to spin and drift. Knowing all of these different techniques helps me in helping you to become a better angler.

Labor Day weekend Salmon Trip

My friend Kyle and I were ale to book a salmon trip wth Captain Brad of Manistee fishing company over Labor Day weekend! our trip started at 6:00 a.m. where Brad had the boat in the water and was waiting for us. we got on the boat and Brad took us to a spot where we caught three fish eary! After a bit Brad hd mved is several times getting us 3 more fish for a total of 6 salmon! of course we lost a handful as it does go that way sometimes. This was the 5 trip I have went on wih Brad and have 2 more trips schedule later this month. Brad is a great captain and person to be around when fishing !

We recently went on a charter with Captain Ken and had a great experience. He was professional, knowledgeable, and worked hard to make sure we caught fish before the trip was over. He took us to multiple spots and gave helpful tips on technique that made the trip even better. Our New Annual Tradition

This fishing excursion was absolutely remarkable. I appreciate Brad‘s professionalism even before I arrived with quickly answering some of the questions I had as a first time Michigan salmon fisherman. It was beautiful to get the boat out there while the stars were still in the in the sky, and we had a great spot where there was little to no maneuvering despite there being so many boats out at peak season. Brad was very patient and pointed out so many things to educate us and give us the fullest experience; I even leaned to tie a polymer knot. We walked away with eight fish and a total of 45 pounds of perfectly filleted fish which was a service he also included. We just cooked the fish a simple pan fry manner and it had wonderful flavor and texture, more steakier like swordfish. We cannot wait to make this an annual experience.

Although we didnt come in with fish in the boat, we did hook up with a couple. Wild Bill was very informative and we learned a lot about salmon fishing. He has a great personality and made us feel welcome. Highly recommend him to anyone needing a trip.

Brad was very easy going and was great with my daughter. He was giving us tips for when we try fishing again on our own and while we were fishing with him. The bite was a bit slow but he put all his effort into new baits and tactics to get us hooked up. We went 2 for 3. Thank you!
