Guiding to me is more than just putting people on the fish. At an early age, I realized that I had a true passion for the water and nature. I knew that I wanted to do a job that I would love going to every day. When I looked further into becoming a fishing guide I knew this was what I was meant to do. Waking up every day to take people fishing is the greatest thing ever. I get to enjoy the great outdoors with so many wonderful people day after day. I get to help them make sense of this crazy thing called fishing. Nothing makes me happier than seeing people smile because they either just caught a fish of a lifetime or they're simply enjoying their time on the water. That's why I do what I do. I have an extensive background in all fishing areas, from fly fishing to spin and drift. Knowing all of these different techniques helps me in helping you to become a better angler.

    Labor Day weekend Salmon Trip

    6 Hour Trip (AM) • 2 adults

    My friend Kyle and I were ale to book a salmon trip wth Captain Brad of Manistee fishing company over Labor Day weekend! our trip started at 6:00 a.m. where Brad had the boat in the water and was waiting for us. we got on the boat and Brad took us to a spot where we caught three fish eary! After a bit Brad hd mved is several times getting us 3 more fish for a total of 6 salmon! of course we lost a handful as it does go that way sometimes. This was the 5 trip I have went on wih Brad and have 2 more trips schedule later this month. Brad is a great captain and person to be around when fishing !

    my nine year old grandson wanted to catch a big fish. well he jumped out of bed bright and early and was ready to go. he caught two big fish ...Chinook Salmon. the captain of the boat encouraged him and made him feel like he caught the biggest fish ever! best experience any nine year old could hope for

    4 Hour Trip Morning • 2 adults

    We started at 8 (Kenny called the night before, giving recommendations based on other's experiences this week). It was our first time chartering and it was very nice to have everything taken care of! We both caught fish, he takes you through so many hot spots that there's a really good chance you'll catch something! Probably 12 rock and smallmouth bass total between the two of us in 4 hours.

    Beautiful scenery, great guide, awesome trip

    Took my 8yo son out with Captain Mark. Gorgeous day and it was my son's first time fishing for salmon. Captain Mark was patient, educational, and helped make my son's first time memorable. He helped him land 2 fish, and gave just enough help to make sure the fish was landed and that my son was doing "most" of the work. Would highly recommend.

    Great Day on the Water

    Brad and Manistee River Fishing Company are top notch! Brad worked hard to get us on fish all morning and to make sure we had great trip out. Caught some nice walley on Long Lake and great memories with my 13 year old son. Brad is incredibly knowledgeable, patient and determined to catch fish. If you are looking for a guide…I highly recommend.

    Captain Brian was very safe a knowledgeable on how to navigate the river. Fishing was not the greatest, but did catch one nice salmon around 15# and had 3 others on, just didn’t get them in the boat and no fault of captain Brian. If you’re looking for an exciting River salmon trip I would recommend this company!

    My Nephew, his dad and I went on a 8 hour salmon trip with bad and had a blast !! It's been my 5 trip with Brad and I lok forward to all the trips we take with him. on a tough day Brad managed to boat 6 kings !!

    Brad was very easy going and was great with my daughter. He was giving us tips for when we try fishing again on our own and while we were fishing with him. The bite was a bit slow but he put all his effort into new baits and tactics to get us hooked up. We went 2 for 3. Thank you!

    We caught some Chinok Salmon and lost a couple. Great trip over all! We highly recommend Captain Brad and may go again sooner then we thought!

We have a rare opportunity this year with have great numbers of chinook salmon in our rivers in good numbers. Fishing is good now and will only get better as the season gets going.
