Captain Brad, who will be your guide, is equally passionate about finding the best available bite for his customers as he is about enjoying the great outdoors.
Manistee River and surrounding waters are known for its superb Salmon, Trout, Walleye, Pike, and Bass Depending on the time of the year, you can target Brown Trout, Steelhead, Chinook, Coho Salmon, Walleye, Pike, and Bass. Brad will be with you every step of the way, helping you get your next trophy into the boat. He'll provide quality tackle for you to use, and what's more, he'll show you how to use it to get the best results.
Your captain will do his best to tailor the trip to your preferences so that you have a memorable expedition with him.
Your ride and fishing platform is a 23' Alumaweld, outfitted with a 250HP Yamaha outboard engine that will ensure you get to the best fishing holes in no time. There's room on board for up to 3 anglers to fish comfortably and enjoy the stunning views in between bites.
The vessel is well-suited for Lake and River fishing. You'll have reliable navigational electronics to lead the way to your catch. After the trip, Capt. Brad can clean everything you decide to keep, which means only one thing – a delicious fish fillet dinner is one meal away.
Kids are welcome on the boat, but if they're under 12, you should bring their life jackets. You'll also need a valid fishing license, and a supply of your favorite drinks and snacks to keep you fighting your prey with vigor.

6 Hour Trip (AM) on September 6, 2026 • 2 adultsMy friend Kyle and I were ale to book a salmon trip wth Captain Brad of Manistee fishing company over Labor Day weekend! our trip started at 6:00 a.m. where Brad had the boat in the water and was waiting for us. we got on the boat and Brad took us to a spot where we caught three fish eary! After a bit Brad hd mved is several times getting us 3 more fish for a total of 6 salmon! of course we lost a handful as it does go that way sometimes. This was the 5 trip I have went on wih Brad and have 2 more trips schedule later this month. Brad is a great captain and person to be around when fishing !

8 Hour Trip (AM) on October 5, 2025 • 2 adultsThis fishing excursion was absolutely remarkable. I appreciate Brad‘s professionalism even before I arrived with quickly answering some of the questions I had as a first time Michigan salmon fisherman. It was beautiful to get the boat out there while the stars were still in the in the sky, and we had a great spot where there was little to no maneuvering despite there being so many boats out at peak season. Brad was very patient and pointed out so many things to educate us and give us the fullest experience; I even leaned to tie a polymer knot. We walked away with eight fish and a total of 45 pounds of perfectly filleted fish which was a service he also included. We just cooked the fish a simple pan fry manner and it had wonderful flavor and texture, more steakier like swordfish. We cannot wait to make this an annual experience.

Then we moved to drifting beads and bait. Had many hits but was tough to sink the hook. Overall Ken did a fantastic job.

Had I nice time out on the Manistee River by Tippy Dam fishing for salmon. Brad was a excellent to talk to and answered many questions about the fishing.
