Sorry for the boat issues, but you need to understand boats, first all inboard boats have what is called a prestop on the propshaft where the shaft enters the boat, while a boat is underway the prestop allows a small amount of water to enter around the spinning shaft called the prestop for lubrication and keep it cool, the bilge pumps pump that water out when the automatic switch fails which is common then the pump doesnt pump , and then you replace that automatic switch, this is normal,  one engine is newly rebuilt and runs great, the engine that had problems ended up having 2 bad injectors , these have been replaced and running fine now,  Costa rica is a 3rd world country and getting polished clean fuel is not readily available in costa rica, there fore over time the fuel tanks develop a lot of scum and residue in them and the fuel system gets clogged up need s a through cleaning,  Captain danny is one of the best captains in costa rica and has been the captain on the Dream Raiser for over 15 years, while always inconvenient to have a boat issue at sea and not able to fish, boats are mechanical machines and they do break down especially with the destructive forces of saltwater and metal, Pura Vida
